Laura Gowers trained as an industrial design engineer in London and started her career as a product designer. Interested in her own health, she became intrigued by the ingenuity of microbes, particularly the way in which they regulate the immune system. Her current focus is the visual communication of complex scientific information via accessible health messages to broad audiences.
